Dr. Sarah here, and welcome to video 133.

How many of you like to be told what to do? I’m certainly not one of those people, and I’m sure many of you can agree. Because what this does, it puts us in a “no choice” situation, which limits us and lands us in a place of resistance from doing the thing we’re having to do.

So it doesn’t matter if it’s our own to-do list that we have to do or if it’s something that someone else wants us to do, the important thing is, is to always ask a question… a question like, “What are my choices here?”

And even if you choose to do the thing you don’t want to do, at least you can choose it, and it’s likely to lighten up a bit.

A Space to BE With

Take a moment to tune in and ask yourself the following questions.

What do you notice when someone tells you what to do?

What is that like? Is there resistance?

Do you ever pressure you to “have to” get things done from a “no choice” point of view?

What is that like? What are you aware of? Is it light or heavy?

And what would it be like to tune in and get clear on what your choices are in any given situation?

Does it generate and create more space and possibilities for you?
